It’s been such a long time. We’ve gathered energy and resources, experienced setbacks and learning experiences, and now we come back to you with new growth, wiser and stronger and readier than ever for our inaugural Untamed Festival!
Some of you may know me as Rose, Head of Security for Untamed. I am so excited to be going to my first Pagan festival with my community! I have a lot of organizing experience and work in a field that requires I understand the ins and outs of safety and security protocols. I am thrilled to be offering my skillset to the folk this year and being able to see our community grow and our connections deepen. You’ll see me and other members of the security team throughout the weekend, making sure that persons, property, and the land are taken care of during our festival.
I know security may not be the most thrilling topic, but the way I see it, UNTAMED is about freedom and self-expression, and can anyone really cut loose and relax if they don’t feel safe and are worried about the little details? That’s why myself and my team are here, to make sure that you all can have an excellent, relaxing, and fulfilling time. You can find us both at the busy center Hive and roaming between workshops, campgrounds and vendors from morning to night. In order to make this a safe experience for all guests, if you are in need of immediate assistance any staff member is capable of contacting us 24/7.
Most of the things we ask of guests at UNTAMED are pretty self-explanatory – be kind to yourselves and each other, clean up after yourselves and your campsite, and help take care of each other and the beautiful property that we have been allowed to use. More specific information is available on the website and was sent out to all ticket holders, but just know that our security staff is here to help at any time you might need assistance or have questions about our rules or guidelines.
Other security staff members include Brandon, Conor and Jonah, all of whom are seasoned volunteers and good, capable folks. Please don’t hesitate to stop and chat if you have questions or concerns, or even just to say hello!
