Drummers will be creating sacred space from after evening rituals until we are done. We invite all who are willing to share their musical and dancing gifts with the group!
The space will be opened each night with an intention, and we will hold space in that spirit. The space is also free-form and a space for all, with the expectation that respect for others will be maintained.
Community Drumming Space found in the Hive Gathering place!
Our late night drumming is Safe, Sacred Space. Bring reverence for the work we do here, whether it shows up as meditative trance, somber rhythms, ecstatic dance, or pounding beats that soak into your body. Normal conversations are expected to occur, of course, but please respect the experiences others are having by avoiding disruptiive outbursts.
In our drumming we reach back, to the inner rhythms of our bodies and hearts that have been with us our whole lives. In our community-created spiritual space for trance drumming and dancing, we connect with each other to create grooves that support individual trance work, release energies that no longer serve, invite new energies for manifestation, and excite spirit within ourselves. It’s our time to revel in space with divine energies.
Let yourself be transported to another plane of consciousness – the Group Mind of the drummers and dancers.
Bring Your Drum, as you are able!
If you have a hand-held drum or other non-amplified percussion instrument, you are welcome to join in. All skill levels are welcome. Some drums and various percussion instruments will be available for those unable to bring their own. Non-percussion instruments are also welcome, but as they tend to be quieter, group support for them can’t always be depended upon.
Don’t want to drum? No worries! Come participate with dancing, clapping, and bringing your amazing energy to add to the sacred space! Just listening is fully supported as well.
Notes on the space:
- We are on Deb’s land, and we treat it as the rest of the festival does.
- Bring a chair (or ask for help bringing your chair), bring rain gear, bring your spirit!
- We definitely recommend having your water with you for this energy work.
